Abstract

Project teams are complex temporary organizations consisting of diverse members varying in roles, responsibilities and firm affiliation. The perceived presence of organizational justice is a potentially critical factor in ensuring harmonious social relationships exist between team members; with such harmony helping motivate individuals to achieve high performance levels. To explore the impact of organizational justice on project performance data were collected through a survey of practitioners in the construction industry. The findings reveal the overall positive influence of organizational justice, at both the individual and team level, on different dimensions of project performance; and highlight important mediating variables.
