Abstract
Artist statement and contextual notes about the album: exploration of experimental weather instruments, sound sculptures and electroacoustic performance instruments within guitar songs and soundscapes; reflections on technological change (from Akai 950 sampling limits to modern sampling and MIDI), long-track looping as a reflective, painterly process; thematic references to drones (both musical and military), Brian Eno’s Temple inauguration piece in Tenkawa, and lyrical allusions to Joni Mitchell’s “Woodstock”; personal and spiritual themes including love, Gaia and the divine.
