Abstract

In 2023, Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) was commissioned to support the implementation of an adult household population survey across Merseyside, examining feelings of community safety and experiences of violence and ACEs (2). However, a critical evidence gap remains the experiences of children and young people in Merseyside, including the experiences of university students. To complement the adult household population survey and address the evidence gap on the experiences of young people, the Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership have commissioned LJMU to support the implementation of a survey with young people across school and university settings in Merseyside. This report specifically focuses on the findings of the survey implemented with university students.
