Abstract
The War Widows' Quilt book is an exhibition catalogue that details the context, research, methodologies, and individual stories behind and represented in the War Widows' Quilt. It contains contributions by lead artist Lois Blackburn about the historical and artistic inspirations and research that informed the design of the quilt; by Philip Davenport, lead poet, on the methods and meanings behind the poetry in the book and on the quilt; by Dr Nadine Muller on the methods, research, and rationale behind the wider project of which the quilt is a part; and by war widows and their families who have contributed to the quilt, including the stories behind their squares and the impact that taking part in the project has had on them.
