Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyse citizensage and their perception of the police in Trinidad and Tobago. The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service occupies a pivotal role in keeping citizens safe, reducing the fear of crime and victimisation and protecting the moral fabric of society. However, due to the country‟s colonial heritage and police system, these factors often challenged the accomplishment these duties.
