Abstract

We present a reprocessing of all the submillimeter observations of the optical transient AT2018cow that were performed simultaneously at 850 μm (350 GHz) and 450 μm (670 GHz) using the Submillimetre Common-User Bolometer Array 2 (SCUBA-2), the 10,000 pixel bolometer continuum camera on the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope on Maunakea, Hawai'i. A bright source was detected in our initial observations. The peak in the longer wavelength spectrum had just passed through the SCUBA-2 region prior to our first observation.
