Abstract

typuzzle.co,uk documents the results of the TYPuzzle exhibition installation residency during Type Motion group exhibition at Foundation for Art & Creative Technology (FACT), Liverpool, 13 November 2014 - 8 February 2015, curated by Stenzer, S., Zehle, S. & Stubbs, M. The installation presented a unique system for designing bitmap letterforms using an analogue moveable grid of pixels and is part of ongoing research that questions the validity of typographic experimentation. As well as the results and documentation of the exhibition, the website also features a published and downloadable version of the typeface that was produced from designs made by visitors to the exhibition, and open source files to make a handheld version of the puzzle interface.
