Abstract
Nappies, ‘poonamis1’, milestones associated with potty and toilet training, episodes of stool withholding, common childhood ailments or medication side effects which cause constipationand diarrhoea – poo is a dominant feature of babies and children’s lives. As infants grow, develop, and reach school age, bodily containment is expected and spillages and leaks are less tolerated. Considering this, more extensive research exploring how children navigate everyday spaces, such as school, with bowel-related illness is needed within Geography
