Abstract
In this month's Research Roundup presented by the British Association of Nursing in Cardiovascular Care (BANCC), Robyn Lotto and Felicity Astin summarise four recent research studies, exploring recommendations for oral fluid intake for people with heart failure, the prevention of stroke in people with atrial fibrillation who have survived intracerebral haemorrhage. patients' perspective on stroke prevention, and the representation of women in atrial fibrillation ablation trials. The implications for cardiac nursing practice are discussed and a full reference is provided for those who wish to look at this research in further detail.
