Abstract

This paper presents the design and development process and evaluation plans for a project to develop international educators’ skills in data analytics through engagement in a Massive Open Online Course. Following the ADDIE development model and the Community of Inquiry framework we adapted activity for an international collaborative inter-disciplinary team. This approach guided the development of curriculum, learning outcomes, assessment and content by academics in Malaysia and the United Kingdom. Our plans for evaluation of the MOOC are also described including the development of a questionnaire drawing on validated instruments focused on student's expectations of data analytics, the technology acceptance model and learners’ preferences.
