Abstract
This article is to introduce the debut issue of UN_FOLD magazine and the theme ‘Print is Dead; Long Live Print’. It responds to the reporting of the ‘death of print’ and the 2013 Media Consumer Survey ‘Love in a cold climate’, commissioned by Deloitte. Indeed since 2013 we have seen a resurgence of traditional printed media (magazines) on the shelves of newsstands, and new titles have become a trend (particularly in fashion, art and culture with far more independent and original content. Considering we live in a very digital world and the fact that society has adopted a very ‘throw-away’ attitude, the power of print to keep as a cherished item has become important.
